It reminds me of early winter snowfalls when it's kind of wet and packs easily. It's the time when kids make snowmen. Later the snow is to dry. This is the time when we dragged out the snowmobile and it would get stuck in the soft packy snow and in the forest it would fall from the trees down your neck ---- burrrr -- but this phase didn't last long before the weather got colder.
